Benita’s journey as an oral hygienist began with her diploma from the University of the Western Cape. She has continuously updated her qualifications with Expanded Functions Courses, enhancing her expertise in oral health care. Her career spans over two decades, combining clinical practice with academic roles, reflecting her dedication to both patient care and education.
Currently, Benita practises at Cosmetic Dental, SPH Dental and now the Smile In A Day advanced dental facility, where she employs her skills in Teeth Whitening procedures, EMS Guided Biofilm Therapy and Radiography.
Her experience as a lecturer and clinical supervisor at the University of the Western Cape’s Faculty of Dentistry further underscores her commitment to advancing the field of oral hygiene.
Benita is actively involved in professional associations, including the Health Professions Council of South Africa, the Oral Hygienist Association of South Africa, and Women in Dentistry, contributing to her growth and the profession’s advancement.
